Diabetes training for people living with Type 2 Diabetes

11th May 2020

Type 2 diabetes is a condition that causes the level of sugar (glucose) in the blood to become too high. It can cause symptoms like excessive thirst, needing to pee a lot and tiredness. It can also increase your risk of getting serious problems with your eyes, heart and nerves.

It is normal to feel angry, upset or shocked when you have been told that you have type 2 diabetes. But you have to remember that you can control your diabetes, it doesn’t have to control you. Do speak to your GP or diabetes nurse if you need help.
