Patient Participation Groups

A great way for you to be actively involved helping to shape the future of healthcare in your area is to join a Patient Participation Group (PPG).

The groups are normally made up of registered patients to a particular practice. So for instance, you would join the group at your GP practice, with other patients from the same practice.

Topics discussed range from current health campaigns, long term plans for the surgery, and improving day-to-day services.

The groups are also a way for the NHS and GP practice to get messages out to the community, specifically when new changes have come into effect.

Visit the National Association for Patient Participation website for more information.

If you’re interesting in joining a group, contact your GP practice.
