Medical centre to host walk-in vaccination and booster clinics

A series of walk-in vaccination and booster clinics are to be held at the Victoria Road Medical Centre in Hartlepool, starting tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s clinic will take place from 8.30am-7pm and will be followed by others on Monday 20th December (8am-8pm), Tuesday 21st December (8.30am-7pm) and Wednesday 22nd December (8am-8pm).

First and second doses will be available. For people aged 16-17 there must be a minimum of 12 weeks between doses, whilst for those aged 18 and over there must be at least 8 weeks between doses.

Booster jabs will be available for:

  • Those aged 18 and over
  • Frontline health & social care workers
  • Those aged 16-39 who are in the at-risk group for COVID
  • Adult carers
  • Adult household contacts of at-risk groups

There MUST be at least 3 months between a second dose and a booster.

First doses will also be available for 12–15-year-olds, BUT ONLY FOR PATIENTS REGISTERED WITH THE FOLLOWING GP PRACTICES:

  • McKenzie House Surgery
  • McKenzie Group Practice
  • Headland Medical Centre
  • Gladstone House Surgery
